ACM is the world's oldest and largest educational and scientific computing society. Since 1947 ACM has provided a vital forum for the exchange of information, ideas, and discoveries. Today, ACM serves a membership of computing professionals and students in more than 100 countries in all areas of industry, academia, and government.

Special Interest Group on Management of Data

SIGMOD investigates the development and application of database technology to support the full range of data management needs. The scope of interests and members is wide with an almost equal mix of people from industryand academia. SIGMOD sponsors an annual conference that is regarded as one of the most important in the field, particularly for practitioners.

SIGMOD China Chapter

The Sigmod China Chapter has been chartered by ACM. According to the charter, it was formed to operate under the sponsorship of the ACM. The Chapter supports activities complementary to ACM SIGMOD, the ACM, and other ACM activities in China. In accordance with the Chapter’s Bylaws, the Chapter is operated exclusively for educational and scientific purposes. Interests of the Chapter include broad range of advanced issues of database and information systems technologies.
