The National Conference on Data Bases (NDBC2002) was established in 1977 as a forum for research into the theory and practice of databases, sponsored by Database Society of China Computer Federation. NDBC2002, the 19th in the series, will be held in Zhengzhou ,Henan province from Aug. 26th to 29th, 2002 , co-organized by Zhengzhou University and Henan University.
VLDB2002 will be held in Hong Kong during Aug. 20-23 ,2002, and NDBC2002 will take this opportunity to hold Post-VLDB meeting and invite world well-known experts to give keynotes on special topics.
Aims of the Conference:
NDBC2002 provides an international forum for technical discussion among researchers, developers and users of database systems from all over the world. In the conference, they can exchange their research achievements on database management and application, and discuss the critical challenge and new research directions in database fields.
On the occasion, distinguished experts from both domestic and abroad will give special reports, major manufacturers of computer industry will exhibit their advanced technology, and excellent papers will be assessed. Proceedings of NDBC2002 will be published by Computer Science as a supplement. We sincerely call for papers, tutorials, demonstrations, etc. concerning advanced achievements in the field of data management and application.

Submission Guidelines:
1. Papers should include topic, abstract, content, and references and should not be published before. Author's information including paper's topic, author's full name, affiliated unit, email address, post address, and telephone number should be offered as a individual part. 2. Papers can be written in both Chinese and English and should be submitted in WORD format. Generally, the size of paper ought to be no more than 6 pages (A4). 3. Papers should be submitted electronically using the conference management tool accessible at the web site: http://www.zzu.edu.cn/ndbc2002/ .
